Having an Above Ground Pool in your backyard is a great way to create memories that will last a lifetime. From birthday parties to family gatherings to just cooling off, Above Ground Pools are a great way to have fun at home. However, you shouldn’t just jump right in. Here are a few tips to help you start your journey to pool ownership:
1. Know Your Covenants– some neighborhood associations don’t allow above ground pools. Make sure you check before installing a pool.
2. Know Your Codes- most municipalities have requirements on pools. Typically pools have to be fenced in and a certain distance from property lines and buildings. Every city is different so check with yours to make sure you can have one.
3. Call Locates- locating utilities will determine the feasibility of a pool. You typically do not want to install a pool over any utilities. Utilities can be moved but keep in mind it can get pricy.
4. Know your yard- get a rough guess as to the size of your yard. Having this will help us determine what size of pool will work the best.
Knowing this information is just the beginning. The next step is figure out the right pool for you. Feel free to stop in our showroom and speak to one of our experts and find out more information.
Once you have decided on the pool that will go in your backyard and you would like us to install your pool, one of our staff will do a site visit to verify location and access to the yard. After the pool is installed, a member of our team will do an onsite orientation or “Pool School”. This is a one on one orientation to get you familiar with your pool and how maintain it.
Our service doesn’t end once the pool is installed. We realize it may be overwhelming owning a pool a first but keep in mind the team at Central Iowa Pool & Spa is here for you 7 days a week for any questions you may have.
